So I’m going through a CCNA course right now. Starting off super slow but I won’t lie, refreshing the basics is probably a good thing. On top of the course and Cisco’s netacademy, I’m studying with this CCNA Routing and Switching 200-125 Official Cert Guide Library book set from Cisco. So far, I’ve found it is a really good study guide. I used to have the older version, but had to get the new one since the CCNA exam was JUST updated to 200-125 (wishing I had taken it before I deployed). It’s nice that its a Cisco book, so it matches and really is a good companion to the Cisco netacademy. Plus my friends who have taken the certificate before me all vouch for it (or the older version) as being extremely accurate for the CCNA exam.
A couple of my classmates aren’t using any books since most stuff can be found online, but I like to have a physical book to reference and a write/highlight for studying.
Today we spent most of the day going back over subnetting, a classmate of mine recommended this free kindle book Subnetting Secrets (edit: free w/ kindle unlimited) Some good subnetting practice can be found online at subnettingpractice.com. I’m attaching some worksheets as well, along with their answer keys, they’re pretty standard but are pretty decent, let know if anything is wrong with them.
