Hello, I am just a nerd who is in the process of learning how to survive in the IT realm.
I started my trip down the IT rabbit hole when I was a kid, making personal websites for my best friend and I as we tried to make money doing everything from mowing lawns to personalized wood carvings. After that I began working on websites and blogs for affiliate marketing, briefly interned at a Seattle start-up, completed my bachelor degree in Computer Science, then went and commissioned into the US Army Signal Corps.
Since joining the Army, I've had to wear different IT hats, from helpdesk manager, to network engineer and sysadmin. I'm currently working to earn some certifications and get a more formal education on being an enterprise level sysadmin and net admin as I transition into a new Functional Area 26B.
This blog is just for me to document my homelab projects and regurgitate information I learn as I study.
