Wind Powered Rotating Skyscraper in Dubai and Moscow’s Dynamic Tower

Wind Powered Rotating Building In Dubai and Moscow\'s Dynamic Tower

Dubai and Moscow will soon have new additions to their skylines, the Dynamic Tower, designed by Dr. David Fischer, this solar and wind powered building will be able to produce enough energy to power then entire building and surrounding area.  The Dynamic Tower is one giant wind turbine and solar generator.  Between each floor is a horizontal wind turbine and on the roof of each floor are solar panels.

Dynamic Tower Solar and Wind Powered

Approximately 20% of the surface between the floors will be exposed to sunlight, so with an 80 story building there will be the equivalent surface space of solar cells being hit by the sun as 10 normal buildings.  The production of these buildings is also revolutionary, each floor is prefabricated in a factory in Moscow, it takes only seven days to produce a floor.  The floors are then shipped anywhere in the world to be connected to a spinal cord like center coumn.

This new idea of construction will help limit waste, increase productivity, and help save the environment.  This amazing building and revolutionary construction process is amazing.  Check It Out Here

Wind Powered Building

Wind Powered Building Designs

Project WEB, the Wind Energy For the Built Environement Project, has released designs and a prototype for a multi-leveled building with integrated Wind Turbines. This idea is meant to utilize a lot of wind power which is available but unused in cities.

Wind Powered Building Prototype

They have designed and built a two-story prototype which demonstrates the ability of buildings to not only fully integrate wind power, but to help promote self-sustainability with renewable Wind Power, this will help reduce carbon levels and environmental impact. Check It Out Here

Orange REcharge pod - Renewable Energy Charging Station

REcharge Pod renewable energy charging station

Orange released a new recharge station at  the Glastonbury Festival.  This amazing concept and prototype uses solar and wind power to provide renewable energy to recharge multiple devices.  This is a grea idea for outdoor activities like festivals, or disaster relief.  It can provide enough energy to recharge a hundred cell phones an hour! Users lock their phone into a locker like charging station then their phones will charge up using both wind and solar power.  Check it out here!
